Happy Monday Friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ours was busy busy but super productive. We headed to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Maudie's, on Friday night and then ran some quick errands to pick up a few things for Annabelle. On Saturday morning, E slept in and I went for a nice 3 mile walk before it got to hot. I also did some baby laundry! I don't think I have ever been so excited to do laundry in my life. :)
After I finished Annabelle's laundry, E and I headed out to run some more errands before settling down to watch the Texas baseball game. Sadly, they lost but they're not out of the tournament yet. After the game, we grabbed dinner and headed to the movie theater to watch 22 Jump Street. This was Eric's Father's Day request. It was actually hilarious as long as you're ok with stupid funny.
Sunday morning, Miss Annabelle woke me up kicking at 6:45 AM, so I headed to the grocery store bright and early. Then I made Eric's Father's Day breakfast. Cinnamon rolls, bacon, and raspberries were on the menu for him. I whipped up a double batch of the almond flax blueberry muffins I made last week to freeze.
We spent most of the day deep cleaning the house and taking care of a few last minute things. I think we are officially ready for baby girl, and I know I am ready for her to get here. Knowing my luck though, she'll probably be a week or so late. I guess this will be a good lesson in patience.
In honor or starting Monday off on the right foot, I thought we would pause for a moment of gratitude. I ran across this graphic last week and thought it was a wonderful reminder to take a few moments every day to recognize what we are grateful for. Three Things I'm Thankful For Today:
- My wonderful husband who spent the ENTIRE weekend preparing our home for our baby girl and never complained once. He had things on his to do list I hadn't even thought of.
- My job that allows me to do what I love every single day and surround myself with positive people that make me smile!
- The baby girl that is growing in my belly who I will hopefully get to hold in my arms very very soon.
